Is there a platform policy of mine that really gets your attention?

Are you ready and willing to donate to my campaign?

Great! But I don't want your money.

What? This guy is a joke, you think. Who doesn't want financing help with their campaign?

Let me explain.

Although yes, I am more than happy to accept your belief in me, I firmly believe that there are better ways your money can be distributed and spent. Especially during this time of economic hardship in this city.

So here is what I propose. Fist off, my campaign will be entirely self funded, and come campaigning time, I will be knocking on doors to gather support. If you would like to help by volunteering your time to help spread my message, I will be more than happy to accept your gracious gesture. If you do decide that you would like to make a financial donation, I would request that you make your intended donations to a local non-profit charity. I am sure any and all local charities would be more than appreciative of any and all additional funding for their great cause.
